A movie and a question for you

Wow.

I owe you one Kelly!

I've just watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and I am totally in love.

This is all because of madhowan's crazy icons that had me perplexed and, when I asked what the hell "shiny new Australia" was all about, first heard about Joss Whedon's short movie.

We were at Big Daddy's looking for a movie to watch (rented Toronto Stories ( Read more... )

Oh bollocks, I wrote out a comment and then clicked the wrong button by accident and lost the whole thing!

Take two:

Re: Dr. Horrible -- muhahahahahahaha! (mine is an evil laugh) I'm so glad you liked it. It really is wonderful, and with that hint of horrid depressiveness that only Joss can inflict.

As for icons, I got mine from these two: totallybalanced and <"lj user="mal_contentum">, but you should be able to find heaps more around the internets.

Re: Honeymoon -- I voted Greece mostly because it was on the news tonight -- they've finally opened the Acropolis Museum, which looks absolutely gorgeous. But I'd put Italy and Turkey in a tie for second.

I'm so glad you went to the trouble of re-typing the evil laugh!

Nicked a few from the first one, thanks! So hard to choose - they cracked me up!

Where in Greece? Preferably somewhere on the Mediterranean I would think. Where's the museum? I'd love to see that!

It is not a proper comment without the evil laugh. Goodness me, I love NPH! Do you ever watch How I Met Your Mother? He's in that, and he's just so funny! Did you watch the commentary? If you get the chance, you should, because they sing the whole thing and it's fabulous.

I honestly have no idea. I know the museum is opposite the real Acropolis, so you can see either one from either .. one. And it's built over the top of an archaeological dig, so when you walk in you look down at a little town, or something. And there's no advertising in it. (I watched a feature on Foreign Correspondent ages back.) Ooh, pretty

I love that show, and Barney! He's my favourite character. I didn't watch the commentary, no - I tend to forget there are special features. I had to return the movie yesterday.

My Greek geography is atrocious, to be honest. Greece is in the lead at the moment (and is perhaps our favourite too) so it we do decide to go there, I'll suss it out better :)

My husband and I went to Italy for our honeymoon, and it was phenomenal!! I'd be happy to share all our touristy info with you, if you decide to go there and think it would be helpful...

Whereabouts in Italy did you go? Adam suggested Nice, but frankly we have no idea. We figured it wouldn't have quite the same seasons, being further south, and should be warm in January??

We went to Rome and Naples in August, and it was HOT! I don't know what their winters are like, but I don't think it'll be as cold there as the winter whether you're used to.

We were there for a little over a week, and it was just about the perfect vacation.

If we end up deciding on Italy, I'll definitely ask you for tips!

Aside from a shakey first couple of minutes, I loved Dr. Horrible. Do you watch Castle?

Castle? I'm thinking no, since I don't recognise the name even! I don't watch a lot of telly, to be honest. What's it about?

Nathan Fillion's new show. Here's the link: www.castletv.net

It's my favorite new show this year :)

(psst, it's Neil Patrick Harris.) The end of Dr Horrible broke my heart, but I keep coming back for more. It's like a sickness.

I have no suggestions for your honeymoon, sadly. I was 4 weeks pregnant and very nauseous when we got married, so no big trips or stories for us.

*icon love*

Neil - I know that, what the hell did I say? Oh dear, Sean, what a twit I am! I got Nathan Fillion's surname spelt wrong too. I suck. FIXED

You never used it as an excuse to go later? I guess, with children, it becomes pretty near impossible.

Yeah, we kind of went from morning sickness to too big to move (except perhaps in orbit; I had my own gravitational pull) to small and cute taking over the world. We're getting away for a weekend to Polaris, and that's about the longest we can spend away from the munchkins. (I tell people it's my working vacation.)

I would be very unhelpful and just say, The Mediterranean. Mostly because of the food. The foooood.

Haha, I knew you would like Dr Horrible! Joss is a master storyteller. I wish I could have watched Dollhouse but until I get a tivo television (primetime, anyway) is not going to be a big part of my life right now.

Then Greece!! I think the food is luring Adam too - he suggest Sicily or Cyprus or something, but Greece has good food too doesn't it?

I never saw any episodes of Dollhouse. Not sure if it was on here (on the regular cable channels) or not.
