A movie and a question for you

Wow.

I owe you one Kelly!

I've just watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and I am totally in love.

This is all because of madhowan's crazy icons that had me perplexed and, when I asked what the hell "shiny new Australia" was all about, first heard about Joss Whedon's short movie.

We were at Big Daddy's looking for a movie to watch (rented Toronto Stories ( Read more... )

In my experience, Europe, even southern Europe is not tha warm in winter (kind of like Perth or Adelaide winters so still have to wear warmer clothing).

So maybe somewhere in South America???

Isn't Doctor Horrible great.

I thought of South America - especially Chile; we saw an episode of Departures where they were in this beautiful city with wonderful murals and artwork everywhere - but if we use a round-the-world ticket, you can only go in one direction and we could get there but it'd take ages I think.

Dr Horrible is fantastic :) I haven't seen it for ages - saw it during the window when it was online for free. I've been meaning to get the dvd, but haven't yet. I hear 'Commentary: The Musical' may even beat Dr Horrible itself for awesomeness.

I heard that too on someone's blog - after I'd taken the DVD back so I didn't get to see it! Ah well. I shall probably buy the DVD too when I've some cash.

Dr. Horrible = all kinds of awesome. *hums* With my freeze ray I will stop the world...

Ahem. As for the honeymoon...I went to Spain two years ago and it was lovely. Granted, I didn't go on a romantic trip, but it is a gorgeous country. :) I'd definitely recommend Seville - if not for your honeymoon, at some point in your life!

Thanks for the rec Christina - I know very little about Spain and it's not all that high on my list, but I'd still like to see it.

Just wondering - if you only have five days maybe thinking of somewhere to go where you won't be spending half of your time on a plane is a good idea? Ie Fiji or NZ or similar?

Yeah, I know, but NZ isn't very exotic and Fiji is a cliché (for Aussies anyway), though NZ was our original plan. We just thought, y'know, free ticket and wedding and all, let's go somewhere special! It's a painfully long flight between Canada and Australia anyway - may as well make it worthwhile!

Hehe… Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is brilliant! With Joss Whedon, Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion, what's not to love?

Hehe, that reminds me of this funny cartoon which has Captain Mal Reynolds meeting Captain Hammer:

As for your honeymoon destination, any of your listed options would probably be a great holiday spot, but Turkey sounds especially exotic and fascinating, and likely to have some interesting architecture.
