Pretty good. I've been fairly busy with school so I haven't had much time to write. I wrote this race report, however, for the running club I'm in so I figured I'd post it. How are things with you? Are you still in the Army?

Almost divorced? Are you kidding? How are your little boys? I am so sorry. As for physics, I decided to do optics instead of astronomy. My project now is to research new ways to make ultra sensitive biosensors. It's fairly interesting but it's also a time vacuum so I'll be happy to be finished. I think I want to get a job teaching at private college which I hope will let me retain the flexible schedule of an academic but without the money and grant-writing worries of a research scientist. Kevin is doing well - he is actually studying for the AFAST now and wants to apply to WOC school in a month or two. I'm not sure how hard it is to get a flight slot but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him since it's what he's always wanted to do.

Congratulations on finishing the race.
I wish I could run a tough course like that, but I think I'll have to stay with flatter and easier courses, although the next race I'm training for, the Big Sur marathon, isn't exactly flat. Although it's hilly, it's nowhere nearly as hilly as the Black Mountain race.
