Pretty good. I've been fairly busy with school so I haven't had much time to write. I wrote this race report, however, for the running club I'm in so I figured I'd post it. How are things with you? Are you still in the Army?

Almost divorced? Are you kidding? How are your little boys? I am so sorry. As for physics, I decided to do optics instead of astronomy. My project now is to research new ways to make ultra sensitive biosensors. It's fairly interesting but it's also a time vacuum so I'll be happy to be finished. I think I want to get a job teaching at private college which I hope will let me retain the flexible schedule of an academic but without the money and grant-writing worries of a research scientist. Kevin is doing well - he is actually studying for the AFAST now and wants to apply to WOC school in a month or two. I'm not sure how hard it is to get a flight slot but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him since it's what he's always wanted to do.

That's a shame. When my parents divorced my mother moved me all of the way to California and my father stayed in Georgia. It was hard because I adored my dad. It's one of the most complicated things in the world, but I hope you guys are able to work out a way for both of you to spend time with your children

Oh no no no no... She can't do that. Do NOT let her do that. My mom did that and my relationship with my dad is still healing because of it. Your kids need TWO parents and unless you're a drug dealing, whacked out serial rapist one of those parents has to be you. Ugh. Anger.

No, I don't think you can blow up the earth with an ion beam. You can make really small holes with it, though. You can also upload bitmaps of whatever picture you want and it will draw it for you on a piece of silicon.

I most definitely could. I could even take a high resolution image of it and email it to you so you could give it to her, perhaps winning an award for the nerdiest Valentines present ever.
