Steve has given me 3 Dimsies - Headgirl, grows up, and goes back, + Seven Scamps for my birthday!

I have had a phone call from Steve, and I have my car again! He's put everything back into it, and put on my Cornish number plates again. They have the Cornish flag on them, where most people have the English one. It is clean and shiny and whole again!

I rang Travelsphere this morning, and the holiday we were going on is fully booked for the 12th. We had already gone through the brochure for trips leaving at more or less the same time, since we only have 3 Sundays clear of preaching appointments (we are the beginning of the quarter, so Steve knows where he'll be up to the end of August). We got a letter from Travelsphere today to say that there aren't enough people booked on our holiday to make it viable! That's our Austria trip! They've offered us the same holiday on July 22nd, but I need 6 days leave & only have 4 left. Leave year ends July 31st, would you believe! well, now we know. The job cuts in the library are for this term, which means that 3 of us will be interviewing for 2 jobs! The assistants will be losing posts too. It means that opening hours will be drastically cut next term as we won't have enough people to open - and we're supposed to be student-centred ( Read more... )

We have our computer back! New case, motherboard and processor, but all our docs and pics are saved! Just as well as Guernsey was only saved on here!! We do now have a back up for our docs as well ( Read more... )
