There is restructuring of support staff at college, and there was a meeting yesterday afternoon for Janet’s area. Some of her responsibilities are being moved to other areas - not us unfortunately. Things are moving - literally - for Mum. Babs had a call from the manager of the Home at Hathersage to say that Mum could move Friday! So she is. We have booked the van for her things, and a wheelchair taxi for her. I have tomorrow off work, and so does Babs. We'll go down with the van and start packing and loading. The Library Assistants have duly met and drafted a letter to send to Umbridge, her Line Manager (Who's great, knows the Learning Centres and is very supportive) and to HR. Meeting took 3 quarters of an hour and was only about Friday rotas, thankfully. We are not allowed to all 3 of us at my site do it - we have to have a rota so that we are the same as the other site. So having been told that Umbridge will be drawing up the rotas, we now have a meeting next week with her to do it - the Librarians anyway. It also seems that after we left this morning's meeting it carried on with Umbridge, the HR bloke and Lesley (Senior Librarian). They were talking for another 15 minutes! We had a meeting today with someone from HR about Friday opening. What it boils down to is that because only 3 people volunteered (and they were the 3 Librarians at the other centre), Umbridge is going to do the rota with all of us on it.
