I was warned.

My god does this movie have problems.

Confusingly, several chunks of this movie are quite good.

The fight scenes are especially good. They’re filmed in a new way I have not seen before. I hope to see more fight scenes filmed like that. It was almost like a go-pro but without inducing vertigo in me.

I have very mixed feelings.

There were some parts that I liked, even loved. Chunks of goodness.

WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF

I keep repeating that to myself.

I have yet to make sense of this mess.

Except for a few good scenes and some scattered dialogue this episode was a trainwreck.

Finally saw The Guest. I’d been putting it off for some time, saving it for “the right time” or something. Saw it today with teenybuffalo and our friend.

OH MY GOD SO GOOD. SO GOOD. OH MY GOD.

Really good scene transitions in this episode. And great conversations. And character development.

So this episode was mostly setting up stuff for later. Not a lot happened here, just a lot of people moving from point A to point B or setting things in motion that will pay off much later. Establishing some new locations and new stuff, again, for later.
