I regard jeggings to be a less-shiny version of Spandex, which is seldom necessary and never, ever attractive.

And I'm okay with baggy pants. Just not falling-off-your-butt baggy. And harem pants are just silly.

3. I was on a college campus this weekend, I saw no jeggings, but black leggings are back in a big damned way.

Jeggings are all over the damn place in this building.

Really, I took almost every one of these from just observing the hallways during passing periods.

I would add heels so high you really can't walk properly in them (I see this all the time downtown on women tottering down the street trying to look cool while not falling over), and very tight clothing. Unless you're svelte, I don't need to see all your bumps and lumps (this isn't just leggings/jeggings, but also very tight shirts and sweaters). I see this one a lot out on Navy Pier. And I'd add to this women who dress in clothing more appropriate to their teenaged daughters. You might have been able to carry that look off in 1990, Mom, but you sure can't now.

I do wonder sometimes whether people look in the mirror before they leave home, and whether they think what they see looks good.

Oh, lord, the ultra-high heels are ridiculous. You can't even fully straighten your legs when you walk! Looks ridiculous.

Fully agree on the tight clothing, too.

9: unless you are Dcook. Or Samuel Larsen, or whichever beauteous man decides to clothe himself thusly. Actually, you're right. It's ugly, and they need to TAKE IT OFF STAT. (Ahem.)

I LIKE THE WAY YOU THINK.

But seriously, even if I like the chest underneath the shirt, it's still not a good look.

I AM SORRY. I'M FINDING IT DIFFICULT TO BE OBJECTIVE ABOUT THIS.

No one expects that. I protest this style in an objective sense. When I am confronted with certain people wearing it I am all in favor.

I can't go with you on shoe boots (assuming I know what you mean by that) but I like the rest. Well...I do like a headband on some people. If you do it right, it looks sort of 60s-inspired. (And we are excluding children from the headband rule, right?)

And, ya know...an open shirt, if it's a transitional state? ;) I'm a fan of unbuttoning but I guess unbuttoned and on the way to dinner, no.

In general, I'm super duper laissez-faire about fashion. But omg, the guages. They remind me of National Geographic. Not that there's anything wrong with that, Indigenous African People, you have a whole nother thing going. Rock on. I just don't like looking at a stretched out earlobe. Yes, that includes you, Lambert.

And agreed on the high heels, especially with platforms an especially on teeny tiny women. They look like they're playing dress-up.

I don't mind shoe boots worn with jeans or other long pants. But with a skirt it just makes the leg look short.

I am five foot nothing, so I am always terrified about things making the leg look short - for years I refused to wear skinny jeans for fear of the stumpifyingness (Frack finally convinced me to try, and it does seem I will agree to wear them under controlled circumstances, i.e. with a longer, tunic-y top, where Lindsay Lohan would wear leggings, or like, nothing).

BUT, when I was younger I have been able to make shoe boots work in the winter months with a short skirt and opaque tights the same color as the boots and a stacked heel. Now I am older, I am considering revisiting this style for fall, simply because ankle boots will less easily fall off my damn feet.

Also people should never tuck the bottoms of their pants into their shoe boots unless they want it to be Hammer Time. (See your comments on jeggings etc etc.)

As for the ear gauges, Adam responded to a fan tweet which asked what size his gauges were and he said they're a Size 0 and they'll remain a Size 0.

Thank god.
