Prompts List (Round 2)

Sep 27, 2011 06:58

Though au_bingo encourages wide interpretations of prompts, some AU prompts may not work for some fandoms. Additionally, some prompts may be triggering for some people. Therefore, please look over this list before signing up. When you sign up, if needed, you can indicate up to five prompts to be vetoed so we can give you a card without those.

If you need more than five prompts vetoed, please contact the mods by PM or email and we will work with you to make sure you have a suitable card.

Alternate Fandom Fusion / Crossover Prompts
You must specify another fandom (from the medium prompted) you're either fusing or crossing over with your fandom’s canon. For example if the fandom you wanted to write in was Harry Potter and the prompt was television, you could write a crossover or fusion between Harry Potter and How I Met Your Mother. Fandoms that come in multiple mediums can be used in any (ex: Sailor Moon would work for anime, musical, manga etc. Lord of the Rings would work for the movie or book fusion prompt.)

Alternate History Prompts
Prompts in this category are specific to the canon of the fandom you’re working with. Something in the canon was different, and has now butterflied through history to make an alternate reality.

canon event changed - something went differently than it did in canon
canon historical event changed - something from "precanon" went differently
historical moment changed - a major historical event from canon went differently differentiation
personal history changed
someone is born a different sex and/or gender than canon
someone left
someone never died
someone never returned
someone was never born

We’ve grouped the rest of the prompts into categories for organisation and general explanation. These prompts are not categorised on the cards themselves.

Fantasy or Supernatural Prompts
Reality could be the same in your fandom’s canon, only with the addition of the fantasy/supernatural element, or your fandom’s reality could be completely different, because of the added fantasy/supernatural element.
