Easy things and hard things today. The easiest thing: Eating free pancakes at IHOP. Thanks national pancake day! The hardest thing: Well... it wasn't eating free pancakes, that's for sure. It was something more personal. Ah well, it had to happen sometime.

I'm not "back" but I'm here.

I truly hope I am good at being a father. Some days it is harder to say than on others. The other day, in response to questions mostly dealing with veterans day, I told my kids about Christianity, Judaism and Islam, as well as why we have soldiers in Iraq, etc. As hard as it was to do so without any of my personal bias or political beliefs, I think ( Read more... )
