Speaking a bit more gently, he said, "Thank you, Lass."

Perna smiled as Carson gentled his voice. "Don't worry, things are going fine so far here. The volunteers are a great help," she assured him and ended the call.

Dan woke a little as he was wheeled into the infirmary, groggy and confused but calm this time. He tried piecing together what had happened whilst he was transferred to a bed, but it was like he'd been drinking and lost an evening. One moment he was fighting the wraith worshipper and the next ... he was in the jumper bay, in pain, and so confused.

He winced in pain as they settled him onto the bed, and remembered his wound. Dan lifted his arm and tried to swipe at the bandages pressed there, lifting his head to look at it groggily.

"What happened?" he asked, of the medical personal around him.

"Don't move," Perna said, and reached for his hand as he tried to wipe off the bandages. "I'm Perna, and you're in the infirmary. You're safe now." She held his hand, hoping he would calm down a bit.

"You were swept up by a Wraith dart, and just beamed out," she explained and carefully examined the bandage on his chest.

"He has a cut," Springour, the corpsman explained as he and his companion got ready to leave again. "Carson said it needs to be stitched"

Perna nodded at the corpsman, then turned to the patient. "Someone will have a look at this. Try to get some rest."

"A dart?" Dan asked, blinking at the woman standing over him. "How..."
He heard her telling him to get some rest but he was too busy trying to pull his shirt up to listen to her. "Did they... did it feed on me?" he stuttered, trying to sit up and examine his chest all at once, looking for feeding marks.
