"Not much more." Taking a deep breath, he looked at his boots, his throat feeling suddenly dry and useless as he opened his mouth to answer her question. "It's.. well, it's McKay."

"It was actually some.. alien device we encountered a few months back. Forced us to be in... close quarters, for a while.." He shrugged, brave enough to look at her now. "It was kind of a silly way to get together, but.. we're getting pretty serious now."

"You know I... wish I could say that too." Sighing, he leant his head on her shoulder, wanting this to be a joke. But he better than anybody knew you couldn't help.. who you loved. And he could tell by her eyes that Teyla loved Michael.

"It seems that my Gift allows me greater contact in...intimate situations...with others that carry the same ability. I am not sure, but I think it...I suffer when I am apart from him, John. More so shortly after I leave, and the need ebbs to something manageable in time, but..." she swallowed thickly. "It is almost like a withdrawal of sorts. Carson is researching it."
