Not only has he been constantly improving under Bielsa, he also demonstrated that he's made of iron and has balls of steel. Uhm - literally.

This article that was posted on the AS website explains it quite well:

Seriously, this is a horrifying read, and if you have a delicate constitution, BE WARNED.

De Marcos played for an hour with a torn scrotum

Against Zaragoza, De Marcos demonstrated that he is made of iron. He played for an hour with open wounds on his scrotum and rectum which required him to be hospitalized after the match, where he received 25 stitches. The ugly foul by Paredes means that he will not be on the list against Oviedo, where he scored on the away leg.We already knew that Óscar de Marcos was made of stronger stuff, but the most palpable proof is that he played for an entire hour, the last 15 minutes of the first half and the whole second half, with a significant open wound in his private parts. Tell you what... that man is nuts!
And while as a girl I obviously do not have the same private parts my non-existant dick is in pain just from reading about this.

Let's hope it all gets back to normal xcklgvjdxfklyjd

Which still does not explain how he managed! It's absolutely crazy and must have hurt like hell and at least during potty break he must have noticed no? >.

Seriously. I do not know how he did not just collapse in a crying heap and refuse to get up again. Nevermind the fact that he played THE ENTIRE SECOND HALF and scored a goal (which wasn't offside, regardless of what the refs said) AND assisted Toquero's goal. He was probably the best player in the whole match with GAPING WOUNDS IN SENSITIVE PLACES. Insane doesn't even begin to cover it, tbh.

Fingers crossed that everything is, er. Functioning properly after the healing period. Pobrecito!
