Somehow I'd managed not to think about this too much until this evening.
Then it occurred to me I'd not arranged anything to do with the bank holiday weekend, you know, when at least some of my friends must be doing something I could join in with.
(
And then it hit me... )

I've never figured out just how you're meant to use the MySpace search to find anything useful. It just doesn't think how I do apparently.
I seem to recall having a Friendster account, I guess I could check it.
The thing about Fleet I think is it's full of:
1) People who've lived here all their lives.
2) People who have retired here.
3) REALLY well off people.
and other types that don't tend to hang out on the net much. I guess we'll see.

Friendster won't go below 'Country' level if I select the UK.
Bloody USA-centric web....

Just for a change though I'm on there under my real name (which I'm pretty sure you do know so if you sign up you can find me).

Just had a search within the London network (it's the only one applicable
for anyone in the South East of England) and it throws up over 300 people
whose home town is Fleet. Whether that means they're actually living there
or not, I don't know - I saw a couple of folk who are at my Uni, so I'm
guessing they're not living at Fleet at the moment.

(Gah, that was a horrible sentence, I know what I mean, I hope it's at least vaguely comprehensible to other people as well...)

I also remembered I have a Bebo account, but it seems to have no geographic search at all.
I'm attempting to signup to Facebook but it seems their mail system hates greylisting. One delivery attempt at 15:17, which hit the greylisting and NOTHING since (now 1h12m later).
