Wilson sipped his drink and tried to be interested in the floor, the glass, anything. All he wanted to do was be near House again.

Fuck it.He stood and walked over to where Xander and House were seated, choosing to sit two stools away from them just in case he wasn't wanted. He let himself look at House then, taking a large swig of bourbon as he did so. Artificial bravery was a wonderful thing ( ... )

"You know, I bet Snape could fix you right up in that department."

House had seen Snape in a long time. Too long. He decided to pull out his cell phone and call his new-BFF-and ever. He got the machine; so he left an annoying message.

"Magic is quite the handy tool," said Wilson, finishing his drink. He didn't intend for any of this to happen, but it had. It had happened because House had made it happen ( ... )

If he got nervous, he would've been nervous walking out on stage with the band. They'd only been rehearsing for a couple weeks, but they all felt confident in his abilities. Plus he could improv -- and that's what they really wanted. They played for an hour, and it was insanity. A rush that words couldn't describe. It was just awesome. He barely noticed that Neil and Wilson had walked in.

When they finished, he couldn't help but grinning. They had stopped a little short, and there was time for the Captain to show off, if he so inclined. Charlie hopped off stage, and walked towards the bar. Neil was waiting at a table, but Charlie had to speak with House about Jack first. That subject was a no-go with Neil around. Better to do the club business first, then celebrate.

He hadn't expected to see House and Wilson together. Last he heard, they weren't speaking. Now they were smiling? Jesus, maybe Neil had it right. Maybe they were meant to be.

"House," Charlie slide into the empty space next to House. "Got a minute?"

"Nuwanda," House turned his attention away from Wilson and to the other kid. House had been listening to the set, even when he focused on Wilson; he had to admit, the kid was handy with that sax. House didn't respect many, but he would acknowledge someone else with musical talent. Kid had it. "What?"
