Zouichi heard Heine before he saw him. He turned toward the source of the sound, curious -- was there someone else on board who'd hit the gardens this quickly? Odd set of priorities.

Instinctively Heine reached around to his back first before pausing and letting his hands fall back in place. Jumpiness was not the right word for it, more like unnerving was the coming in verbal contact with someone. So far, that being hours at best, nothing remotely sinister had happened other than the same predicament everyone else was in. They may not be enemies, but they were not allies that he could relax completely around.

Zouichi watched as the man pulled at his collar -- a nervous tic, maybe? In any case, he didn't seem very talkative.

"Think you're going to find them on safari?" Alas, it didn't look like either of them was going to make a 'Welcome to the Jungle' joke. Alan cocked his head at the sound of Heine's voice, watching the strange man with one beady little bird eye. It seemed that for the moment, the whirring noises of the insects nearby had stopped.
