I think I do find the show funnier than I would have if I hadn't spent six years working with astrophysicists.

I admit, I love the Big Bang Theory (the show, as well as the theory). I forget it exists for a while, and then watch five episodes in a row and am full of joy.

I can't remember if I ever told you this story, but it also features in one of my best WTF moments: on the train to Corbet for Nada's wedding, one of the guys I had just met mentioned living in West Hollywood. There's no reason to live there unless you work in TV, so I mention that my family is from SoCal and does he work in the studios. He says 'yes, I work on the Big Bang Theory.' I had only seen the show maybe once at that point, so naively ask, 'Oh, cool - what do you do on the show?' Him: 'You know the Indian guy.' Me: 'Yeah.' Him: 'That's me.' Me: 'Oh shit, yes, of course it is. Sorry.'

As it turned out, he was really cool. And fun to drink with for three days. (Although he did make fun of me for wanting to sleep ever.)
