House MD: Futures, Friday Night, Distancing

So this requires kind of an explanation. angelacaduca gave me a House prompt, and (after I spent a couple of weeks catching up with the show) when I went to go write it, I thought to myself, "Self, perhaps you have an unfinished story back from your first flirtation with the fandom, and perhaps it might fit." So I went to my house fanfic folder to see, and ( Read more... )

I REALLY enjoyed this. Not as snarky, but that other side of House, where he knows how to get what really will turn out to be best for everyone. And I just really enjoyed the premise, because a contract not to get married again makes me laugh.

although holy jesus, expensive place.

there are all awesome but distancing is simply perfect, your heart clenches so hard for House's sake, how it is when you're neither stupid nor blind but nevertheless in love. lovely and wonderful end. My romantic tendencies would have prefered the happy end without the three ways implied in the future but this rings more true and still made me so content and happy.

Those were all lovely stories. I loved the cheekiness of Futures, the dialogue in Friday Night, and the emotional tone of Distancing was fantastic.

I have hoped for months that you would write more House fanfic -- I really, really enjoyed your first two stories and have read them repeatedly -- so it was a joy to discover these. Futures was interesting and well put together, Friday Night made me laugh, but Distancing really grabbed me. An unusual take on where their relationship could end up, but a very plausible one. Thanks so much for posting these!
