Aspies do tend to go on and on about whatever interests them. Most of us have a strong aversion to using the phone. Some of us don't. I'm neutral to it myself.

Ms. Parr made some bizarre statements on the witness stand. Indeed most of them weren't even statements, if one uses the rigorous definition that a statement is an assertion that's either true or false but not both. She spoke of what might be, what's possible, what she wouldn't be surprised by. She claimed not to understand the concept of free will. Obviously she was hired to do the best she could for the defendant without actually lying. I expect the jury will disregard her testimony and focus on the question of whether there's sufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr. Reiser murdered his wife.

I don't hate phones, but I rarely ever use them... I've only ever memorized two phone numbers, because those are the only numbers I call. I do fear vacuum cleaners though.

I hate talking on the phone. I cringe when I hear it ring. I have an unpublished number, caller ID and only a handful of people have my number, I am on the Do Not Call registry. Sometimes I stand there debating whether or not to pick it up when it is ringing and as I only have six rings before my voice mail picks it up, I miss a lot of calls. Because I hate to answer it or call people back I do alienate people from time to time. Except for my children and husband I just went through a seven month period, which ended last week, where I wouldn't answer the phone at all. If it wasn't for emergencie I wouldn't have a phone. My husband hates talking on the phone too.
I ramble.*smile*

Running rampant? What?

Though I'd agree that yes, many adults may well be on the spectrum and not know.

I think it's honestly kinda dumb to make the assumption that ALL aspies hate talking on the phone- I know lots that don't mind it, although it's generally ssecond choice to computers for most of us.

Otherwise, meh article.

I don't like talking to people I don't KNOW on the phone, people I do know, it depends on what is being talked about.

Assuming that everyone is the same about this is very moronic I agree.

I've tried to get a bi-polar friend of mine I talk to online for years(and ONLY have) to do a kind a voice chat thing with me, as I'm curious what her voice actually sounds like.
