Last month, I wrote about how the Autism Women’s Network is participating in the Pepsi Refresh Project in order to get the $50K grant. This grant goes towards hosting workshops across the United States for autistic females to be able to access accommodations and supports in their communities. An eight year old girl was arrested for battery. She wanted to attend her friend's birthday party at school but was instead put in a classroom with two personnel "guarding" her because she refused to remove her cow hoodie. I cannot form the words to express my sadness and anger in regards to this incident.
