A barrage of charged particles triggered by this morning's solar flare is expected to hit Earth tomorrow at around 9 a.m. EST (1400 GMT), according to experts at the Space Weather Prediction Center, a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Highly annoyed that we're going to be under heavy overcast on nights when there could be some great aurora viewing? Yes.

As long as I don't start mutating the moment my Swedish exam starts, it'll probably be very far from my mind. Though it wouldn't be cool if communications went out for an extended period of time.

More curious than concerned. In general I am concerned about the fragility of our power and information grid in the event of a more serious CME.
