A barrage of charged particles triggered by this morning's solar flare is expected to hit Earth tomorrow at around 9 a.m. EST (1400 GMT), according to experts at the Space Weather Prediction Center, a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

I'm kind of excited that I may see the aurora. I live in DC, so I'm far enough south that even with CMEs, the aurora barely happens. I saw a really vague one after a large solar flare in early 2004, it was reddish but there wasn't much movement to it. I hope there's more this time.

Only in that it's supposed to be cloudy which means I won't see the pretty lights this time.
