BATTLE BEAGLE

Mar 23, 2009 10:11

When Jack found Max and made The Internet convince me we should keep him, I reckoned he was about six or seven weeks old. It's an interesting (actually it's really not that interesting) fact that horses in most competitive activity always turn a year older on January first, and if it's good enough for horses it's good enough for beagles, I suppose ( Read more... )

his name is max

Alien alloys! They're the wave of the future, Rhys. It's much lighter than it looks, and can pretty well withstanding anything short of direct gunfire (I won't let Jack test it while Max is in it, and the armour has to be on someone to "activate" properly).

We think the armour originally belonged to a very tiny race who had perhaps read too many fantasy novels.

No no, just in battle situations. And maybe on Halloween and if we want to particularly distract someone.

I think he likes the way it jingles.

He's a bit young maybe, more's the pity. Still, you can arrange for a meeting, yes? For old times' sake, eh?

Fuzzy thing, oh yeah.

You.

Show up anywhere near him and you'll get neutered around the same time he does.

That still gives us a few months of sexy, hot, entirely potent loving--

I wouldn't HAPPEN TO be standing anywhere near any place of interest, of course. No, doesn't LOOK like it AT all in this city of YOURs. There doesn't happen to be sudden CCTV CAMERA failure either in certain parts of Cardiff.

Oops.

Hey is there a bell to ring somewhere?

PS. There's a code in there. Just thought I'd make it easy.

I'M WAVING.

I am sure that he does need alien battle armour.

But he's so cute and adorable!

Especially with the armour on!

Oh yes, especially with the armour on. And nice and safe that way, too. *wonders about finding some armour for my cat, who has a habit of trying to fight the neighbourhood dogs...*

I have a beagle, and I too continue to suspect him of being evil. He is clearly to cute and fluffy and adorable to be harmless.

My point exactly. Also, their howls are like what would happen if someone stubbed their toe in Hell.

Max does that, only for "pillow" read "my face" and "bark" read "sleep".

Well, I'm not sure about Theresa, but for true furry evil, he can't really be worse than a cat. Observe my icon. That is unquestionably a smug, furry, "I'll-kill-you-in-your-sleep-and-eat-the-body" look if I've ever seen one.

I have five cats and my husband and I live in fear for our lives every day.

That is a deeply evil cat. We should probably make sure she/he and Max are not in communication.

If I lived with someone who had five cats I would fear for my life too.

Hey! It's not our fault! They moved into the territory and demanded protection and food. It was like a cat gang!

Their mother has... gone missing. When they got old enough, she seemed to sense their evil and tried to drive them away, but they wouldn't go! Not long after, we began to see less and less of her until finally, nothing. Very suspicious.

I suspect the dead lizard on our stoop was a warning.

They might be aliens. Do they have extra limbs?
