I'm currently stuck in the middle. I have no reason to stay, yet I have no reason to leave. There are no benefits to moving away from this place, nor are there any to staying. I know what I want but it is all a matter of luck and circumstance and I think I've run out of luck for my lifetime ( Read more... )

Maybe you've just been keeping yourself in the same world for too long. Perhaps you've given up the opportunities to shift the basic matter of what consists in your life, on a very basic and emotional (but real) level, that everything hasn't been given the chance to breathe and grow. You've been slowly developing, evolving into something more than what you were when your world was first created, and now you've outgrown the necessity for it. In a world where you may have had some level of comfort, you've found that, instead of solidarity, there is a division (perhaps dissolution?) of where you were once before, and where you are now, and it can no longer provide you the things you are (a) used to, and (b) used to want/need ( ... )

I must concur. I have known you (ashley) now for over 10 years, and in that time I have watched you develop and grow and you really really need to get out of your parents house and prove to yourself that you can live on your own, by your own means, and make your own path.

I do not doubt you can make it, the problem is you convincing yourself.

I'm sorry you're so upset Ashley! Maybe it is time for you to get out on your own...You'll feel so much better about yourself if you do, I promise!

I'll admit, I've come on hard times now and then being on my own, but I've always managed to get through them, and keep on keepin on...There's just this sense of satisfaction that I feel being on my own, and being able to prove to the world, and myself, that I can be independent!

No matter what you decide, though, always know that your friends are here for you! :)

Nope..I have no idea. I never worked with anyone in publicity. As far as I know it was best to contact the individual band and try to get a publicity hookup.

I know a kid with a national tv program that was trying to get in touch with someone higher up there in that department with no luck..they're a tricky bunch.

I think the girl who runs the East Coast Romper (www.eastcoastromper.com) is in touch with someone at Island who gives her the hookup. I wouldn't go randomly emailing her about it of course..but maybe if you poke around her site she'll have some insight on it..or you could talk to her and become friends and maybe then she'd share her contacts..I dunno. I don't know her..just read the site!

Sorry I'm not much help!
