Title: Maybe, Just Maybe
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Ian is still denying his thoughts about Anthony. Meanwhile, they get an email from an old friend from high school.
A/N: This chapter's a long one! Anyway, I want to grab everyone's attention that there is a girl involved in the story now. But NO WORRIES. There's still going to be a lot of slash between these two wonderful boys and she plays an important minor character for the time being so don't be disheartened. :) Tell me what you guys think!
Disclaimer: I do not own Smosh. Nothing here ever happened in real life and if it did, that's just mere coincidence!

Chapter Two

"A-Anthony... I.." Ian's breath was short and hot. He was sweating; he couldn't form words out of his mouth because his brain was in such a fog. The bright moon was shining over the room.
"What is it, Ian? You can tell me." Anthony whispered in his ear. His breath was hot as well. His warm hand intertwined with his.
"I... we can't.. Ah!" Ian gasped as Anthony slightly bit the side of his neck, right below his ear. He was slowly sucking on his skin, giving him a small hickey. He was trembling. He couldn't take such heat going through his body. But Anthony's lips felt so nice. "T-This seems wrong..."
"It's okay, Ian." Anthony gazed into his beautiful blue eyes. "You can trust me."
"Anthony..." Ian shut his eyes and his lips were parted. Anthony looked at his small, pink lips and slowly goes in for a kiss...
Ring! Ring! Ring!
"Mrrmm..." Ian groaned. He was under his blankets and covered his ears with his pillow to block out the noise. The noise got louder each second and it annoyed him. "All right, all right..." He lazily sat up on his bed and grabbed his cell phone from his bed side table to turn off his obnoxious alarm. It read 9:01AM. Ian wanted to wake up early to start on some editing. He placed it back on the table and gave out a loud sigh. He rubbed the back of his neck to ease the tension. "What the hell..."
This was the first time Ian has ever had a dream of Anthony doing... hot things to him. It seemed so real though. It felt real, too. Part of him wanted that dream to disappear forever while the other part had desire to finish it. He could just remember the look Anthony gave him when he said you can trust me. Ian slowly caressed the part of his neck where Anthony had bitten. Nothing was there, but he can feel that spot burning. He slapped himself in the face. Really hard. That woke him up, too. "I gotta stop thinking of these things! It's just so frickin' weird!" He sighed. He looked out his bedroom window. The sky was clear, the sun was shining, and the birds were singing. Such a wonderful sight brought up his mood.
Ian walked to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth. He passed Anthony's room and noticed his door was ajar. He peeked through the slight opening of the door to see if he was still sleeping. Anthony's blankets were scrunched up together at the end of his bed, leaving his body exposed. The window was open, too. A slight breeze was flowing throughout the room. Sigh. He's going to get a cold if he slept through the whole night with the window open like that. Ian thought.
Ian quietly opened the door and tiptoed to the window and closed it. He walked over to the end of Anthony's bed, grabbed the blankets and carefully pulled them over him. He patted them down gently and looked at him. His breathing was smooth and even. His eyelashes were still long and his hair was messed up in the cutest way possible. His light pink cheeks looked really soft. He looked like an angel. Ian had the urged to feel his cheeks. His hand slowly moved towards his face until he shifted a little in his sleep.
"Mm... Ian.." Anthony murmured. Ian's eyes widened a little bit. He brought back his hand to his side. I-Is he dreaming about... me? Ian took a step backward before he could have accidentally woken him up. Anthony was sound asleep again.
Ian closed his door behind him. "I wonder what he's dreaming about." He said to himself. He shook his head. "I should be weirded out by this..."

Ian got dressed and started the day off with his favorite cereal and some editing. He occasionally talked to a few fans on twitter and checked his email. He also started working on a new script for their next video. Ian usually wasn't this productive in the morning, but he needed to do some stuff to keep his mind off of Anthony. 'Cause really; who thinks of their best friend, who's a guy, doing hot things to him? Even if it did feel nice...
Ian checked the computer clock. It read 11:16AM. Time sure goes fast when he's busy. He hears footsteps outside the computer room. He sees Anthony walking by, already dressed, rubbing his eyes and slouched over. "'Morning, Anthony!" Ian called out, cheerful.
"Mrmm..." Anthony grunted. He was still half asleep. He looked so cute trying to stay awake. "How long have you been up?"
"Since 9."
"Why? It's not like you to wake up that early." Ian usually sleeps past this time, but Anthony was worse.
"I wanted to start on some editing. I should be saying that to you right now, though." Ian stated. "You usually sleep past noon. More like 2, that's for sure."
"Well, I couldn't sleep last night." Anthony said.
"Huh? Why?" Ian asked curiously. He remembered him saying his name in his sleep. He could feel those damn butterflies roaming around his stomach. He mentally fought them off.
Anthony was blank for a second. "Uh. I don't know. Just a bad dream, I guess."
Was the dream of me that bad that he couldn't sleep? Ian just had to know now. "You know, Anthony." He started slow and smiled a little bit. He wanted to play with him for a quick second. "I went to check on something in your room earlier this morning," he lied. "... And apparently you said my name in your sleep. Were you dreaming about me?" Ian seductively joked.
Anthony just looked at him like he was high. "Oh! Wow, now I remember!" He said as if he "suddenly" remember his mom's birthday. "You were being eaten by a giant Domo and I was going to help you, but I didn't want to be eaten either, so I ran away."
Ian cutely frowned. "You would let me be eaten by a giant Domo..."
"Not my fault you tasted delicious in my dream." Anthony smirked. Ian's face got a little red. He turned so Anthony wouldn't see his face; because that statement could have meant anything in many different ways. Damn his corrupted mind. "I'm just kidding, you big baby." He went over to Ian and messed up his hair.
"Ah! Stop it, you dick!" Ian playfully smacked Anthony's hands away.
"Come on. It's a nice day out; let's film Lunchtime w/ Smosh." Anthony smiled.
Ian's face was able to relax. "Okay." He smiled back.

Filming Lunchtime w/ Smosh went great. Both boys were in their comedic mood and they enjoyed their fast-food meals. Ian managed to film without thinking or doing anything awkward. After filming, Anthony promised Ian he would do some of the editing today. He was the biggest procrastinator when it came to editing, plus they both knew editing was going to take more than a couple of days.
Anthony was in the computer room while Ian was laying on the couch watching T.V. in the living room. His eyes were a bit heavy. He sort of realized it was a bad idea to wake up early this morning. He wanted to take a nap, but he remembered the dream he had last night. He shook his head, which always seems to work for him to release his unwanted thoughts, and refused to sleep.
Luckily Anthony running to the living room got his attention. "Hey Ian!"
"What?"
"I just got an e-mail from Abigail!"
"...Abigail?" Ian raised one eyebrow.
"You know! Abigail! Abby!" Anthony said.
Ian's eyes widened.

Abigail grew up with Ian and Anthony when they were younger. Ian and Anthony knew each other first and then Abigail came along. The 3 of them were a trio. They did everything together. They hung out together, they did their homework together, they ate together, everything. All of them were best of friends. Anthony was known to be the kid that everyone knew and who did hardcore stuff. Ian was more of the quiet, self-reserved type and Abigail was the tough one and the smart one. People were always wondering why she only hung out with those two boys and never with girls. They thought she was a tomboy, but she didn't care what people thought of her. People liked to pick on Ian. And whenever Anthony wasn't around, because kids knew he was going to beat them up if they made fun of Ian, they made their chances to tease him. But Abigail always came to his rescue and scared those kids away. They were all totally different but they always found things they had in common.
In their freshmen year of high school, Abigail began to have a crush on Anthony. But she never told either of them because she didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. So she told Anthony to meet her after school one day by the football field, but not to tell Ian. Anthony was a bit suspicious, and he felt bad that he couldn't tell Ian. He always told him everything; he hated keeping secrets from him. But he agreed to the meeting anyway.
"Alright. I'm here. What's up?" Young Anthony said.
"Promise me you won't tell Ian." Abigail said.
"Abby. I tell Ian everything. We both do. Why? Are you keeping something from him that he shouldn't know about?" Anthony crossed his arms.
"It's just that... he'll get hurt. I know he'll get hurt." Abigail turned away from Anthony's face a bit.
"Well, he won't get hurt if we're by his side." Anthony confirmed.
"Just.. promise me you won't tell him!" She grabbed on to his shoulders. "Please!"
"Abby--"
Ian was walking around the field, looking for Abigail and Anthony. He saw them underneath the bleachers. He happily waved to them."Hey guys--" He stopped waving and his eyes widened very big. He saw Abigail and Anthony kissing. Both of their eyes were closed and she was embracing him. Ian was shocked and frozen. His smile disappeared slowly.
Anthony pulled away from her. "A-Abby?!" Abby just stared into his eyes, realizing what she has done. Ian was still motionless, but they both saw him at the corner of their eyes.
"Ian!" They both yelled. Ian shut his eyes, turned around and stormed off.
"Ian! Wait!" Anthony ran after him, leaving Abigail standing alone. Her heart was beating so fast, she gripped on to her chest tightly.
After running a couple of blocks from their Sacramento high school, Anthony finally caught up to Ian.
"Ian! Stop!" He grabbed his arm.
"Get away from me, you asshole!" Ian yelled, trying to shake his arm away from his grip.
"Ian, won't you just calm down and let me explain?!"
"You don't need to explain anything to me! I saw you guys kissing! Right behind my back!" Ian was still in Anthony's hold.
"Abby was the one who kissed me! I didn't know she liked me!"
"Well, obviously you like her, too, by the way you were fucking kissing her back!"
Anthony's grip got tighter. "The fuck? I don't like her!  And I would have told you if I did! I tell you everything, Ian!"
Ian managed to push Anthony and loosen his grip. Ian never felt this intense rage build up inside of him before in his life. His anger even surprised Anthony. A few neighbors were looking at them. "Yeah, right... I thought you guys were my best friends..."
"Ian, what the--"
"Just go back to that bitch and leave me the fuck alone!" Ian started running again.
"Ian!!" Anthony yelled.
A few days have passed and Ian didn't speak to neither Anthony nor Abigail. People were wondering why Anthony and Abigail were hanging out without Ian. There were even a few rumors that Anthony and Abigail were dating, which aggravated Ian. But the both of them threatened anyone if they continued spreading those rumors around.
Abigail decided to hold a trio meeting. Ian refused the first few times she asked him, but finally surrendered when she put him in a headlock.
"I'm sorry, you two." Abigail said. They were all at her house after school. "Really. I am." The two boys were sitting on the couch, watching her. Ian was on the other side of the couch, crossing his arms, waiting for Abigail to continue. "I didn't consider both of your feelings and I'm responsible for everything that has happened." She was trembling, looking down. "I... I'm leaving next weekend."
Both boys looked up at her, confused. "Huh? Leaving?" Anthony asked.
"Yeah. My mom got a new job in New York. So... we're moving." Abigail rubbed her eye a little bit.
"B-But you can't leave!" Anthony yelled. "We won't longer be a trio!"
"Yes we will!" Ian cut in. Anthony and Abigail looked at him. Ian hasn't spoken for days, they almost forgotten how he sounded like. "We'll always be a trio, no matter where we are. It just... won't be the same anymore."
Abigail smiled, even with tears flowing down her face. "That's why I need you two to look out for each other. That's all I'm asking."
The day that she left was the day everyone was on good terms with each other. After she gave her goodbye hug to Anthony, she gives one to Ian and whispers to him, "If there's anything that bothers you in the future, anything at all, promise me you'll tell Anthony. The last thing I ever want is you guys to lose such a special friendship." She smiled.
Ian smiled warmly and nodded.

"Yo Ian."
Ian snapped back to reality. "Huh?"
"You alright? You zoned out a bit after I mentioned Abby." Anthony sat on the couch with him.
"Oh. It's nothing. What were saying?" Ian sat up next to him to give him room.
"She told me she was thinking of visiting, now that she's on summer vacation over there in New York. What do you think? Let's invite her over for a few days?" Ian didn't really know how to respond. They all had such a history together. Ian was indecisive about this. He didn't really want to see her, but at the same time, they were best friends. He would feel bad if he turned down this offer.
"Uh. Sure. If you want to invite her, go for it." Ian finally said.
Anthony studied Ian. "You okay, dude? You don't seem excited to see her again."
"No, I am." Ian sort of lied. But then he realized, maybe inviting her over would distract his mind off of Anthony. Anything could do. His face suddenly lit up. "Invite her over! We haven't seen her in how many years? 8? 9?"
"O-Okay." Anthony felt a little relieved. He got up and started for the hallway to go back to the computer room.
"Ah, but Anthony." Ian called out. Anthony stopped. "Are you okay with it, too? We sort of ended on an awkward state. All of us, I mean."
"Hm." Anthony scratched his head. He was quite speechless, trying to find the right words to say. "It should be alright. Besides, we're always a trio, right?"
"But..." Ian felt a little paranoid. And he was worried about him. He remembered how his friendship with him almost ended because of Abby. He didn't want to go through that again. Ever.
"Don't worry, man." Anthony smiled. "You can trust me."
Ian's crystal blue eyes shot up right at Anthony's big brown eyes. The same tone, the same facial expression, the same comforting words he heard in his dream. He looked away and his face was flustered. "Okay."
