I have been foiled in my pursuit of an opportunity to hang out with Tim Gunn from Project Runway. I am beside myself with sorrow at this, given that I was told the book signing/party was at 7:00 tomorrow evening, when in fact it is at 3 pm in the afternoon. I'm guessing he will be less mobbed this way. I actually walked past a store (possibly the one you mean) that said he was going to be there yesterday. (I go into DC maybe once a year, so it is funny you mentioned it.)

I recently learned that my Food Network idol, Paula Deen *dies*, was at the Smithsonian on Wednesday. Albeit, I wasn't in physically heathly shape to shlep downtown, but if I was better, it would have made my month.
