I wrote tsubaci-sou ages ago, too. Sadly, she declined to ship anything outside of Japan. ;_;
I think the biggest problem is getting them to accept international postal money orders and ship stuff internationally...I guess it must really be a hassle over there or something.
OTOH, I did have a doujinka (Jesus Master- a VERY gracious and extremely cool lady) agree to ship me a lot of her books. She not only signed them for me, but she included a bunch of extra lovely tidbits as well. ::wibble::
Yeah, it is really strange because their postal service is great -- one of the most efficient in the world. So it must be the bank that charges an outrageous fee or something. They should just get a PayPal account to make things easy.
I was happy with Yuho of Saimin doing this because she used to not do it(selling via mail) when she was selling her books at conventions. I guess things are slow now.
