365 project , playing catch up

Mar 25, 2009 19:53

Monday, Emmie got to spend the night for the first time in many weeks, for at least 7. We couldn't have her for the weeks that Ellen, my aide, wasn't here to work as it didn't work out for Bear in the mornings to drive her all the way to the group home and then to his school PLUS take care of me. I was really exhausted and sore on Monday due to ( Read more... )

Aww. Phoebe looks like a cat my mom had named Patches. She had both parts of her mustache, though. ;)

It's a nice picture of you, Kathryn! You have more nerve than I do. I *hate* having pictures taken of me.

Emmie is such a cutie!

I used to hate pictures taken of me, and still rather do, but keeping this journal has helped a lot. people always wanted to see photos, and it does make such a difference. i love when others put photos in, so I am just bearing it and sometimes grinning!

Emmie IS a cutie. I am so sad that the group home is not on her more about her face medication. She has severe acne if she doesn't use her medication just right. Sad.

I never thought of Phoebe's dark upper lip as half a moustache until you said that... made me laugh!

I love that picture of you, I have no idea what you're talking about! That color in particular that you're wearing looks beautiful on you. =)

It must have been very nice to have Emmie visit, how is she liking her new group home? Has she settled in nicely?

Thank you for the compliments. I have a hard time letting people see my upper arms, especially. They are my mother's. I always hoped I wouldn't have them, but alas, I do. I used to do major exercises to try to avoid it but they didn't work.

She loves her new home! She really fits in, and feels a part of the "family" there. She's funny because she always reminds us that she still loves us, and loves to be "home" (here) but still loves her other home. She is worried we'll get our feelings hurt!

It's really amazing! Here we are deep in the Virginian Appalachian mountains, and he is in the middle of Houston, TX, and they had an intense tutoring session over the internet!

No wonder you haven't been here with so much going on.
:)

I love it you wear bright colours, my dear. They suit you!
Isn't the internet wonderful! That's a brave son you have going to college at age 30. EXCELLENT!
I love your tortie kitty!

thank you to all!

Yes, my son is indeed being very brave, especially since he had a horrible time in elementary and high school and dropped out. He only got his GED in the last couple of years. I hope he doesn't drop out of college, but I really think it will be very daunting for him. I'm so impressed that he is trying.
