The State of Me ~ and a couple of pictures

Because our heat pump is still frozen up, the heat/cooling man said to put it on emergency heat to let it thaw, so he can come work on it Friday (tomorrow). Well, that doesn't provide much heat at all, and yesterday I was in 61 degree cold all day. This, along with having no aide and no motorized chair, has put undue stress on my muscles and joints ( Read more... )

You poor dear. All that pain...I have an inkling of what you mean but mine is nowhere near that bad. That man of yours is a treasure to care for you like that and he quilts even!

So you have a quilting business?

I am so glad we have our public health service here. Your daughter shouldn't have to go through all that. I hope all that gets worked out and people don't have to suffer much longer because they can't get medicine they need. How cruel.

((hugs)) and I hope you feel better now.

Yes, we have a quilting business. You can see all about it through the website at http://www.BooksandStitches.com and then click on the Quilting section.

My husband is an absolute blessing, and rare as hen's teeth is his type. He is wonderful. I am incredibly blessed. I waited a long time for him to come along!

I am so concerned about Adie. It shouldn't oughta be this way.

*hugs back* and thank you!

I'm sorry I took so long to respond...but thank you for the link! You make some really lovely book covers. Do you ever make other quilted things?

How can a mother NOT be concerned about her child?

That was a very painful State Of Me Address! :(

It's absurd that we don't have universal health care.

Everything is a mess. :(

Well except Bear, aka the Energizer Bunny-Teacher-Machine Quilter and Prince Charming Type. :)

Nite K, I hope things resolve themselves post haste!

I read that to Bear and he said "she doesn't know me very well"

I think you nailed it very well, Mrs. M!

I mean this only in the kindest way. Perhaps you can lend your daughter your ramp money to get her much needed MRI and so she can finally get help and get on SSI. Then she could pay you back when she gets her benefits.

That is a really nice idea. However, it is a big risk because there are no guarantees of her being awarded disability. Even if she were, she and her partner have not always been too reliable at repaying what we have loaned them in the past. That's a lot of money to loan. Sadly, we can't take the risk.
