It's finally hitting me that I'm moving on from CSE. Five years is the longest I've had a job before, and I feel like I've put so much of myself into the Center that it's going to be weird to be somewhere else while living in Flag. My boss freaked out on me this morning. He got back from his trip so I met with him to give my notice as soon as I could. Took my supervisor in with me. He just freaked. It was not pretty, and I had to go to HR to tell them all about it. He just did the same thing to a co-worker who also went to HR, so maybe this time they'll take it seriously. He ( Read more... )

I got the job!! I gave two weeks' notice to my supervisor and she's happy for me. She knew I was looking for something part time or considering consulting. I feel relieved. My boss (the director) will not be happy, will probably freak out like he does with everyone that leaves, but I don't care. This is going to be so good for me.

Work is getting really stressful. My boss must be forgetting to take his medication because he's driving us all crazy and is completely irrational. I can't deal with this any more! I should hear about the new job in a week or so. 25 hours a week and more per hour than I'm getting now for work that will be comparable but in a very laid back ( Read more... )
