The year is off to an strange start. I donated a kidney to my brother. Spent 3 weeks in Oregon. My Sweet Ork gave up his job to look after me while I was recovering. Now I want to replace my knee and start dancing again.

I will be in surgery, donating a kidney (the left one) to my brother.

I'm a perfect match for the kidney donation, but my BMI, A1C, cholestral and triglycerides are too high. They won't let me level up on the donatation process till I lose 12 pounds and then I have to be retested. So far I've lost 7 pounds in 7 weeks. Twelve years ago my brother was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease. PKD. He was told that he would need a transplant at some time in the future. The future is now. I spent a week in Glastonbury at the Goddess conference. It was an amazing time of meditation, pilgrimage and revelations. I'm letting go of weights that serve no purpose and I am embracing changes while opening myself to new learning. I spent 4 days in Wales visiting a friend and then a week in Glastonbury attending the Goddess conference. The time was magical and I am so inspired to adjust certain aspects of my life. I'm not sure how much I want to share and how much I want to hold close to my breast. It's good to be home with my sweet Ork, I am blessed.

Thirty years ago, in a past life, I spent 5 months driving around the US & Canada in a VW pop up van. My X and I traveled together better than we lived together. When we were traveling each day was an adventure and each day had a destination. We also did a long trip from Cairo to London in 1983, all by bus, train and boats.
