Lois had her suitcase all packed, there was a Army issued Humvee waiting for her at the parking lot at the end of the Causeway and she was ready to spend the next couple months back home with her father. Lugging a some furniture down the hall, John stopped at Lois' room. It was nearly halfway and he was already bored of carrying things down the stairs.

"You're not trying to leave before me, are you?"

"Depends on if I get this bag closed or not," Lois said as she tossed the coat she had just taken out of the suitcase across the room. She'll hang it up when she got back. In August.

"That's one way of packing." John watched her fling the coat aside. "Need any help?"

[armybrat_lois]

"How about I sit on the bag and you close?" she suggested.

[missed_the_gate]

"I might be able to work with that," John said, moving into the room. "Where you taking all this stuff, anyway?"

[armybrat_lois]

"Germany," Lois said, hopping back on top of the suitcase again. "Well, Germany first. After that it's to wherever the glorious U.S. Army decides to send the General next. I'm hoping for somewhere with a beach."

[missed_the_gate]

"Armies gotta have a bunch of forts somewhere with a coast," John reasoned, moving over to help with the zipper. "If you end up anywhere near a California, look me up."

"I'm definitely going to take you up on that," she said. "When are you leaving?"

[missed_the_gate]

"Good, I'm liable to get bored without invasions and talking shoes to keep me entertained," John said, adding in specifically which day he was planning on leaving because his mun failed to know things like that.

"Jaina's heading out with me for a family gathering before I hit campus. Should be seriously painful." Because his family sucked.

"Wow. I hope everyone gets out alive," Lois said, chuckling. "The sad thing is I'm only half-kidding about that."

[missed_the_gate]

"I'm taking some precautions," John assured her. "No lightsabers, no use of the Force allowed. Now I've just gotta stop a fist fight from starting up."

"You're going to try to stop a fist fight?" Lois asked. "I would have thought you'd be all for that."

[missed_the_gate]

John laughed, "Normally, yeah. But this could get ugly. Or involve my father."

[armybrat_lois]

"Ah, okay, I get it. It's more of a actual fighting thing than a wrestling around in Jell-O thing," she said with a nod. "That's completely different."

[missed_the_gate]

"Ooh, see, now you make me wonder if I can encourage some Jell-O pudding wrestling with Nancy," John grinned.

"I think you'd get your ass kicked," Lois said. "And not in the hot Jell-O wrestling kind of way."
