Another Sunday, Another Church

This is St Alphonsus'  in the east end of Glasgow. The architect was Peter Paul Pugin, whose grandfather designed the Houses of Parliament at Westminster.  The gothic connection is very clear, especially on the altar screen containing images of well-known saints.

It is a lovely building. I'm not sure about the pea-green colour of the wall, though ( Read more... )

The green is rather...well...GREEN! Can't say I like it too much. It reminds me of the sick room when I was at school. But the stained glass is very fine indeed.

I like green, but not in the church like that lol. The stained glass however is so AWESOME!!!!!
