I can definitely pick up the Venetian references. The detailing is amazing.

I just looked it up on googlemaps and, when I was in Glasgow last February, I almost walked past it. Doh!

:-) Happens to me all the time. Next time, you really must see it in person. I've lived beside the building for 20 years and I've never tired of waking up to it.

It's lovely, it somehow reminds me of the pierhead building in Cardiff bay but I think that's just the colour rather than anything else

I remember that one. Walked for miles from the town centre to see it and got a horrendous blister. Not the best of memories, but it was still worth seeing.

I had a lovely clear spell for my walk down to the Cardiff waterfront, then after ducking into the Doctor Who exhibit the heavens opened. I was very impressed by the Welsh Assembly builing, before the deluge!
