Let me just explain what this is. This is a chart (hopefully when you see it it will be nicely aligned as it is in my draft). But it's organized by the "generations" of the sets. Using Jasmine to illustrate:
The first set of the "i am" was the princesses hair, with her face cut out. Reminds me of this.
The second set was a full shot of the princess and the type in script over a grey background. The series expanded to heroines. (Missing Snow White D:) found it!
The third set a redo of the second set, basically.
The fourth set was more exclusive, only the princesses and Meg and Alice and Anya. (Missing a bunch).
One of the final sets had the princess with a crown and her signature from the parks. Lady was included in a similar style. I remember this set was controversial, because Paris used graphics from tumblr. This may be why she deleted it. Unfortunately I could not find Cinderella's icon.
I did include Anastasia, because she had two, whereas most of the nondisney heroines/princesses had only one.
I'm pretty sure that the original six (Snow, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine) all had a complete set, but some of the posts were deleted, and not all the icons were saved to Paris' photostream. I am really happy there is a full set of Belle though. I've fallen in love with Books and have done research on Belle's actual reading list. fantasymphony would say that that is extremely shallow and superficial but it doesn't matter at all. Somehow I doubt that Kate even read one of the books Disney has canonically stated that Belle has read, but that doesn't make me a better Belle fan, or her a worse Belle fan. Ariel meant a lot to me throughout my childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood, but in my early 30s, I found myself gravitating towards Belle and with the live action BATB, the entire love story. Disney elitism is really the most confounding thing. The fact that anyone can be elitist surrounding films that are primarily marketed towards children is really perplexing.
Sorry for so many posts today. The Anastasia/Thumbelina was kind of off the cuff, then I was requested to post Tangled, and then I just thought I needed to organize the "i am" princess collection better. Remember if you use any of these to credit disneygirl89, or if you don't want the strikethrough, 152insights or bellasinfonia. (The first generation of these was definitely posted at bellasinfonia, and I think the second as well). I used the photobucket error image because I couldn't find the "icons lost :(" image haha. Replaced the photobucket error image with one of paris' food icons. Hopefully this looks a little nicer. I do regret not saving everything she made as she made it. Not that I would use all of these, I just like the idea of having a complete set.
Anyhow I think that's it for today. I just hope this post will keep the format when I publish it D:
