So I found this post on tumblr:
riverselkie:
honestly i am so disappointed that i am not a woodland princess living in a little cottage in the forest with magical dresses and cloaks and a pet fawn
I even have a couple of icons that capture the princess aesthetic.
I guess that was why I really liked Giselle. She's a blend of Snow White and Aurora. She has a sweet little cottage in the forest. It looks super cosy. And her animal friends are so cute. It was too bad that the giant troll smashed through the window, but I'm sure it could be fixed.
I love Giselle. I know she was cheesy, and there really wasn't much to her character. But I love her long, flowing lines her dress design and her hair.
You can really see it here in this pencil test. James Baxter <333
Snow White's
early concept sketches included a wedding dress that looks a little similar - sleeves that fall off the shoulders, and a high waist - an empire waist.
More on the princess aesthetic later, it's just that when I saw the text post, I thought of Giselle. There's also
this post that is a really nice analysis of Giselle.
