so here it comes

And now, an End of Time screencap recap! (Yes, both parts, because I'm shallow thorough like that.) This is not idle capping in vain, though, oh no. Well, mostly it is; I love staring at David Tennant and John Simm. But besides that, I have also suddenly rediscovered the crazy fever that takes hold when I have new Doctor Who food for thought and am ( Read more... )

"Raise your hand if you spend way too much time wanting to lick his neck. No? Just me?"

Oh, my hand is raised, too. The man's neck is just ridiculous; it should not be allowed. But this is beside the point, which is THANK YOU for that recap and commentary, which made me laugh and bite my lip and go YES YES! a lot. I think I laughed hardest at baby Koschei looking like a penguin, but only because it was so unexpected.

Okay, good! I feel less insane about it. :D And YAY, I am delighted to hear that!

Unexpected baby penguin Koschei is always unexpected!

*Hand shoots up* Can't pretend otherwise.

There is so very much in this recap that I utterly agree with, and so much that I hadn't been able to articulate myself, which you did perfectly. But yes, the FAIRYTALE feel of the horrors of the Time War--I just want to write tons of scifi/horror about life inside the time lock, but I'm not sure it could be made awesome enough. You may have a very good point that the chills you get from these things are accomplished by keeping these things just to names.

Oh, well, I knew you'd agree. :D

I swear, though, if Eleven is ANY GOOD AT ALL (which I am sure he will be!) when I have a good enough handle on him I am absolutely writing Eleven/Master fic about the Master escaping the War, simply to indulge this urge to write crazy fairytale scifi horror.

alpheratz linked me to this and holy hell, I'm so glad she did. I wasn't at all sold on the first part, but by the end I loved it in all its crazy ridiculous glory. The rest of the internet has been crushing my joy, so this is like sweet sweet oxygen to me.

(I feel like friending you is way less creepy than journal stalking, so I'm going to do that now.)

:D! I'm so very glad to have given you some joy about the finale. Flawed as it was, it absolutely deserves to be reveled in, in all its crazy ridiculous glory.

(And hello!)
