On CNN.com's front page right now, there's an article link that reads: "Panel leans toward impeaching Blagojevich." Up top, there's a big red BREAKING NEWS!!!1! banner that says "Illinois legislative committee votes 21-0 to recommend the impeachment of Gov. Rod Blagojevich."

Yeah, I'd say that's a lean.

Roland Burris might make a pretty good choice to fill Obama's Senate seat. All else, of course, is not equal, and the fact that he's willing to accept this appointment at this time really has to cast serious doubt on his judgment.

Since I turned 18, every person I've voted for for the office of Governor has later come under charges of corruption by the federal government.

If current polls hold up (and as I'm typing this, Indiana - Indy-fucking-ana - is finally called for Obama, and North Carolina - good Lord - should be shortly), I will have called all 50 states correctly in our election party pool.

I've said for the last eight years that I'd believe the American people weren't idiots when I saw some evidence to that effect.
