I've had this song stuck in my head allll day. Can't imagine why. (It was so hot yesterday, the post office receipt I left on my front seat in the car actually turned black courtesy of the heat-activated ink. In related news, Yoshiko, you owe me $2.92 in shipping.)

Of course, when I say "song" I mean "chorus," because no one ever knows any of the ( Read more... )

I saw that too. I dunno, it was very well done, but I can't imagine wanting a proposal so impersonal myself, you know? Ah well, it's not like it's Old Spice Guy's fault.

Good point. It was a funny video though, with the candles being shoved into frame.

I started watching Avatar: TLA recently. Just finished season one last night

How are you liking it? The first few episodes I thought were pretty meh, but things improved rapidly after that, and seasons two and three were all-around excellent.

Have you seen the making of video for the first commercial he did? (The "I'm on a horse" one.) It's amazing, even if it's shot from really far off. You can see stuff like dropping the sweater on him and them pushing him onto the horse really well.

I was really surprised! Especially since I saw the second commericial first, and I was convinced the whole thing was just clever green screen. Makes me wonder what else I've written off as CGI.

I mean, obviously the tickets turning into diamonds and the like is all CG, but yeah, it really is all pretty much one take. It's pretty funny to actually see them slide him onto the horse. I can't remember the order the commercials came out after that, but we're still not sure how they would have changed his pants in the one where he says "swan dive" and jumps in the hot tub and is then wearing jeans on a motorcycle.
