I'm about to head out the door to Anime Iowa, but look! We had a double rainbow in Des Moines today!
Yes, the outer rainbow was hard to capture on camera (and it's not like I had my good camera with me), but it was amazing.

It snowed on Tuesday. Not a little snow, but the kind of snow that covers everything and turns the place into a winter wonderland. Today, it is 80 degrees out.
Yoshiko was asking me what time of year the weather is nice in Iowa. She did not quite believe me when I tried to explain it was a total crapshoot. -

Not that anyone in the nation has cared at all about Iowa (I've been watching the polls - in the last two months, we got mentioned three times total for any kind of race), but three of our state supreme court justices were up for retention and there was a huge push by the Republicans to get rid of them because of that ruling on same-sex ( Read more... ) -
Believe it or not, I had very little interest in dolls and action figures as a kid.
Halloween is over and, like a small-time addict, I'm already skirting my "No Christmas until after Thanksgiving" rule by sneaking peeks at Hallmark's ornament display and listening to my beloved Year with Frog and Toad soundtrack.
