My mother isn't doing so well. I know this, even though I've filed it away into some deep dark part of my mind in order to forget it. But this week it reared it's ugly head. It's no surprise that it's the night before I leave for a con and I'm not finished with my costume. But! All that is left is to do do the shirt. That shouldn't be too hard, right? I can work on it tonight and finish it at the hotel tomorrow. Yeah that will work...

It's no surprise to anyone who's known me for a while that I have bad luck with sewing machines. The ones at home (three of them, I think) all refuse to work for me.
