Update on life
Its been a long time coming. I've neglected my writing this summer, both her and on paper. I find that when I abandon writing, part of my soul is discontented and things go awry. Such has occurred. Tuesdays with Morrie
Although I've read this book before, Morrie's aphorisms really touch me. I taught this book to my upward bound students this summer. It was a discussion based class. We learned a lot about life and one another, and it was a very enjoyable time.

Fantasy, Fantasy, Fantasy...I didn't love. I will read the sequels just because I paid for them, but this reminds me that I've never much been into fantasy.

Love this book. I tried to read it in sixth grade, and Mrs. Karn thought I was her next prodigy child, but I couldn't wade through the language used. Now I can. The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros
Haunting. A young mexican girl, growing up in a neighborhood she finds sub-par, amongst people she finds fascinating and different from her. Clearly she wants to be loved. She wants more from life than what it is giving her. I just feel...sad.
