"No Trespassing" sign covered over again

I've learned something... that as soon as our "No Trespassing" sign gets covered over by vines or brush, it's open season for the goddamned proselytizers ( Read more... )

also, the historical person Jesus described in any number of texts including the Bible, did not act like that. He appeared to be a kind person who rarely got on other people's nerves.

So I have no idea how people think they can explain these actions to him after they die.

Just saying. I think the historical person Jesus is a fabulous person to base your life on. right wing churches, not so much.

I respect Jesus, and although there are some things he was supposed to have said that I doubt (we do know that some of the things in the Bible attributed to him were later additions), I still am in a way Christian, although the damned dominionists wouldn't recognize me so (to them I'm an atheist and evolutionist, although they don't have a clue as to what I believe). Their pressure and hate tends to make me react against the whole thing... in a sense even fighting against a part of myself.

I rather like Ghandi's quote about Jesus and Christians.

That was my impression. The food was somehow "purer"... most locally grown/made and free of a lot of stuff. Even the corporate boxed stuff seemed "cleaner" to me. The cheeses were... tastier, the meat more flavorful, etc.. The sweets (desserts) also didn't clobber my blood sugar like most of them in the US do.

The funny thing is, we don't buy a lot of prepared meals here... we do a lot of "scratch" cooking because it's both cheaper and we prefer it that way. We still have the problems. If we were eating the prepared stuff, I wonder how much effect it would have had on our health.

I think that part of the problem is that corporations are adding stuff to the food that we don't know about and aren't told about (like sugar - which they DO add without listing it).

I should add... a funny thing about said proselytizers... I noticed that when they left, they didn't go to any of the other houses on this street... only mine.

I noticed that before a few times... plus having caught people sneaking on my property with oil-covered hands (it's a "Good Christian" practice to "anoint" peoples' cars and homes and pray for disaster and misery until they "repent") - they claimed to be going to put tracts on my cars or home but had no tracts; I am becoming quite paranoid. I wonder if one of the megachurches has targeted us AGAIN. We've caught them in the past... the big Assemblies church (CULT) were trying to break up our marriage AND coerce me into "returning to the fold" as long as 5-10 years after I walked, and we've caught them (a dominionist organization) stalking Sue as recently as about three years ago - got them in trouble with my school (where they were based out of ( ... )
