So fun, Mina! :)

Alfred's summoning Clark, Clark knowing he better answer that summons, Bruce's fit, and all the silliness. I like Bruce's descriptions of Clark, 'cause they're fun. :)

I especially liked these lines:

Clark didn’t even want forever. Bruce was a force of nature, ever changing like the tide, and it didn’t make it any less beautiful if one day the waves stopped meeting with the shore.

After all, in time, even the sun would fade.

Thank you, Brady!

I really like to imagine the kind of relationship Bruce and Alfred have, given how it's so understated and full of nonverbal agreements... they just crack me up. And of course Clark knows better than to be in discord with Alfred! Alfred knows best. My Bruce muse has a strange way of being silly when he's feeling down, sometimes... he knows Clark has his back, so he does what he needs to do to cope, I guess. I'm really glad you liked this! thank you for reading!

Guh! And fun! Wow.

I love Bruce's little midlife crisis thing, and Alfred being Alfred, and Clark just going with it all until he can get Bruce where he wants him.

Clark had come to understand that such machinations were business as usual in the Manor, a tug of war between brilliant minds and awkward emotions.
*nods nods* The Batfamily, just how we love them!

“Well, it's only logical you would be a man of discerning good taste,” Bruce said
Guh! Sorry, I've just been reading lots of Trek fic, and Bruce's "It's only logical" right in the middle there near killed me.

Clark didn’t even want forever. Bruce was a force of nature, ever changing like the tide, and it didn’t make it any less beautiful if one day the waves stopped meeting with the shore.

After all, in time, even the sun would fade.

*is speechless*

Lovely, funny and gorgeous!

Lol, Bruce doesn't like his body betraying him! who does, though, right? I found my first white hair the day I turned 24 and I was like WHAT??? HOWWWW??? lol. Chill, Bruce!

I am glad you liked the Batfamily shenanigans! they know how to handle each other, that's family :P Alfred will get Bruce to calm down and Bruce will like it!

LOL! I didn't think about the 'logical' part, but yeah, it's a very Spock-ish thing, isn't it? I like my logical characters :3

Thank you so much for reading! I'm glad you liked this!

Awww, poor passive-agressive insecure Bruce. :P The ending was awesome with Bruce too amused for sexy times. Clark's insights on joining this neurotic little family were great too. :D

LOL, Bruce isn't insecure! he just would like his body not to betray him :P lol, you should have seen the tantrum I threw when I found my first white hair last May. UNFAIRNESS WHY WHY NOOOO!! stupid meat body.

Bruce will have his sexy times! as soon as he can find a new, more ridiculous endearment. I think he can afford to let the crisis defuse because he knows Clark has his back anyway. We only share our deepest neuroses with those we love :P

This was fantastic. Bruce's mortality always hits me hard, so it was brilliant to see him handling it humorously- at least once Clark got there. His descriptions of Clark had me in stitches.

Like I said, I really loved this. Thanks!

Thank you! yay! I'm glad you liked it :) I find Bruce's mortality hard to deal with only when it comes with natural decay, for some reason! I don't think he would take well to his body betraying him... it makes me sad :( But he can sort of let the crisis dissipate knowing that Clark is there and that he has his back. Knowing he's not growing old alone helps, I think! and Clark knows feeling connected can soothe all kinds of ails (he does that often, I think!). I'm so glad you enjoyed this! silly Bruce and his endearments :P

This made me smile to read all over again! Even though I must run to class far too soon and so this comment is a bit rushed! But I just love how the melancholy is there, not denied, not brushed away, but embraced and made into something to laugh about.

The butler’s eyebrows furrowed, his jaw setting slightly. To a less trained eye, it would seem like the man was impassive, but Clark was getting good at reading seemingly impassive men.

I just so love the image of Clark getting really, really good at reading unreadable people, hanging out with the Bats. :)

“With your sculpted musculature and your pouty, ‘I could do no wrong’ lips, and your baby blues. And your hair. Your raven, silky black hair.”

OMG, Clark's "Is this a reproach? Because it sounds a lot like a come-on" just cracks me up so much here. I don't know, I love how your Clark doesn't quite get Bruce sometimes, but he never lets that get in the way of understanding him at the deeper levels, and loving him so intensely.

Also, insatiable men from the stars is just one ( ... )
