thanks! it means a lot that you see it as in character for them, so important for so much dialogue.

I'm definately feeling Laura's frustration here. I think I was as pissed as she was when he aquitted Baltar.

I love the dialogue, wish we'd have gotten a longer scene like this in the show. Love this.

gods yes, laura's frustration was soooo palpable in Crossroads II, even during the short confrontation that we did see on the show. i am glad it comes across in this, too! and i really do think that the thing that frustrates her most IS that bill only acquits baltar because his guilt outweighs anybody else's in the whole godsdamned fleet.

love that you love this, thanks!

I've always been very frustrated by Bill's decision about Baltar. You're making it tolerable. And I really think Laura would have been this frustrated. thanks

thank you for the comment! yes, laura certainly was frustrated by bill's decision, and i think not so much because she hated to see baltar up and running again (well, that, too), but really because she feels and empathises with bill's pain and guilt over what in his eyes was running away and leaving his people to suffer.

There was a lot of truth in what Lee said at the trial but I didn't feel that he excused Baltar's actions on New Caprica. I'm no lawyer but it seems to me that there were plenty of ways to make a watertight case against him for treason which makes Bill's acquittal of him all the more galling ( ... )

>Laura's palpable frustration at Bill's infuriating and self indulgent guilt alongside his deep-seated pain at having been unable to spare her from the horror of the occupation ( ... )

"...About you and how you embrace guilt instead of shouldering responsibility."

Ouch.

“I ran.”

And right here is your power.

Fabulous line.

thanks! although i want to hit bill for his self-centred guilt trip, and could totally understand laura's palpable frustration in that short CIC scene..
