crazy bracelets on her wrists and ankles

First day back at work today. Ahhh it was good and mildly weird but mostly good. Everyone was most affectionate at the office, that surprised affection of seeing someone you hadn't realised you'd missed. Or maybe it's just my beaming fatuous face popping around the doorjamb going "Helloooooo!"

Oy.

i really do think the writing on Supernatural is good. (of course, the only other tv show i watch is Smallville. compared to SV, SPN is frickin' shakespeare.)

Oh god, Vicki. What a truly terrifying thing to say. Especially since I know you watch The X-Files. Well, the first five seasons anyway are brilliant. And possibly the last. Certainly the last episode.

Hmm. Now you've got me wondering my what television shakespeare is.

I have the german version of "Hereos" as well...the first few times I listened to it I couldn't help but giggle.

and I'm about to go to lunch, and on my way to the bank I'll going past a Max Brenner. I've never been in there..I assume it's good?

and your lj...so pretty! I assume that's one of the nifty new layouts?

Hee, I know what you mean. I certainly did a double take at the stereo the first time he went into the German. But, y'know, I was just thinking (cos it's on again) I kinda have this secret love for German lyrics. All the (admittedly verrah few, count them on one hand) German songs I have I totally adore and precisely cos of those parts.

Bittersweet off Velvet Goldmine. Marriage, off Cabaret. And this. How weird. I think it has something to do with the 'z' and hard 'sth' sounds ... it's kinda cool to hear them sung melodiously. Does that make sense ( ... )

Me too. Especially if I don't know the English version (or it doesn't have one) I try to figure out what they're saying. My German is at a 3rd grade level at best, so usually I get about half the words. *lol* The great thing about Bowie, is that I already knew what he's singing!

I have never heard Cabaret, yet it's one of those things that haunt me...I always see references to it...perhaps I should really have a listen.

Mind you, won't find me humming along to Rammstein any time soon. *is rambling*

*lol*! The lead singer of Rammstein is the only person I know that could make a lullaby sound like it came from the depths of Hell. *smirk*

try the Ecuador dark hot chocolate with orchid flower, or the dark Italian hot chocolate. And lemme know what you think, I'd love to know how it compares across continents ...I will definitely get back to you on that! I spent so much time at the bank yesterday I didn't have any time for lunch! I had to get something at the juice bar downstairs....so, ( ... )

I thought you knew German! *nod*

Cabaret is prolly for you what Hedwig is for me ... and, y'know, I reckon with the way you appreciate Hedwig you'll prolly appreciate Cabaret too ... although I do warn you it's nowhere as awesome as I'm led to believe Hedwig is ... but, y'know, as musicals made in 60s/70s go, it's pretty good. Don't watch the Liza Minelli movie. Listen to the original cast recording, preferably the Cumming/Richardson version. And if you can't find it online, let me know, I'll mp3 it and send it over. *nod ( ... )
