Is anyone else having *major* issues with ETS sending scores to their schools? ( Why I think ETS hates me... )

I sent my scores in September and MIT have not received it yet. GRE claims that they sent the duplicate in the end of November but MIT did not receive it eihter. Today is the deadline. I do not know what to do, I have sent scans of my GRE scores, but it is unofficial. The deadline is today :-(

Have you talked to anyone at MIT? I know at my school---SUNY---they've been really, really great. The deadline was Dec. 31st, and they're still not sweating it, and have agreed to start looking at my app. with self reported scores as long as I make sure to keep working on it. Maybe MIT will work with you, too?

And ETS is the devil. Seriously. It is so full of fail that I can't even fully articulate it.

Yes, I talked to them. They have no idea why they have not received both the duplicate and the original reports. I have send my unofficial scan and they answered "thank you". SO I assume that they will use it by the time they get (hopefully) my scores.

And now I am wondering is there any point in ordering the second duplicate.

This is why monopolies suck

indeed.

ets puts the absolute minimum amount of resources towards problem-solving that it can get away with -- the issues that its inept organization causes. where does the rest of the money go? salaries? its organized as a 501(c)3 but i think this is misleading - there has to be profit, at least to executives.

i wonder if there's an administrative agency that can regulate it - something to do with education, consumers, or commerce?

its so-called "customer" service is totally fucked. there is no excuse for treating someone like they have treated littlegirlvik.

i wish there was a solution for you, littlegirlvik.

How did you order them? Through mail, online, or the phone thing? And are the schools that aren't getting in the ones you ordered after, or when you took the test?

To be fair, I wouldn't know exactly what to do with that info, but the more we know, the more likely it is that someone here can help you.

Also, seconding the really annoying "Please call back later" thing. Do they think that us applicants wouldn't be panicking enough to be willing to hold as long as it takes for us to be next in line to get a representative?

Two of the schools I ordered when I took the test (the "select your schools" thing); two I called in about a week later (they were added to my list a bit after the test). The two that have received the scores are two that I also selected during the test. This whole thing is just one massive headache. I was *so excited* because I thought I was done with apps---even the Jan 15th ones!---and it's all these stupid loops again.

And yeah, that's what I thought, too, about the recording. I couldn't believe they wouldn't just let me through and wait in some line for 2 hours. Which I would've done. (Which is also probably really, really sad...)

Well it's like, yes, waiting for two hours is annoying. But they don't let you wait, so when you call them two hours later, they're still all full. It's such a pointless system. I haven't even had problems with them (yet) and even I'm willing to tear my hair out.

I took mine in August and MIT still has not received neither score report, nor its duplicate.
