I haven't seen the ep yet, but I hope I'll be able to watch it on HuluPlus or something tomorrow. It sounds like it was an excellent Kurt and Kadam episode!

Yes, mutual support is going to be a theme for them. And it was such a weird excuse for him to discredit his own win. Rachel did a number from Les Mis in the very first episode. She knows it as well as he does, so they were as equal ground as they could be (despite scoring the song in LM's key instead of CC's). Kurt just needs to be reminded gently and consistently that he IS good.

And I would LOVE to see Kurt helping with the Apples. (Kinda disappointed we haven't had time for any interaction, Apples meeting and talking to Kurt, etc.)

(I think the NYADA losers should love him even more after that. He can out-snark them, after all, as well as out-sing them.)

I've read a lot of the comments in another comm about this episode, so none of this is spoiling me, just enticing me more! I love the idea of Kadam being mutually supportive. Kurt has a lot to offer the Apples in addition to his fantastic voice and charisma. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience about being in a show choir composed of the school underdogs, and yet they managed to win Nationals. Maybe he can be a mentor of sorts to them, and they can be friends to him, and they can all encourage each other. Popular or not, that has nothing to do with their level of talent ( ... )

I'm pretty sure he joined in the episode we met Adam. He told him "I'm in" and then in Diva I think someone mentioned in passing he was a member of the Apples?

Oops, I never commented!

Well, I liked the episode a lot. Hummelberry was great. I wanted more Kadam and NO Blaintina, thanks, but we take what we can get.

AND KURT WON!!!

I was pretty confident going in, after hearing HOW Lea chose to sing Rachel's part, that this was going to be a win for Kurt... but when it started the way it did, it made me nervous that Kurt was going to try to take her down, and then he'd lose and be stomped to the ground again. We've gotten other narrative indications that things were turning around for him, so this was especially exciting!

I'm not really a Rachel fan in any way, but the way they played that fight scene was beyond hilarious. CC and LM are adorbs.

End of the day: Kurt wins, gets his back rubbed by hot British guy, keeps all his friends, and gets to snark the crap outta some posers. Good day.

Yeah, I thought it went really well! The only disappointing thing for me is that Rachel didn't say, Well, your voice is special, too, bu that's Rachel. She did say she loved him and Happy!Hummelberry returned.

And yeah, their fighting scene was one of the best ever! :)

More Kadam coming!

Rachel does still need to learn to be more gracious. The more I think about it, the more I realize this is exactly how it goes, with Kurt ended up sacrificing his joy of winning to comfort her (which he'd never ask her or Blaine to do). Kurt did say that her performance was good directly after the challenge, and complimented the hell out of her when she was whining and moaning. She's going to have to deal with failure better than that, if she wants to stay in show business, but it was also probably humiliation that she'd acted that way knowingly ( ... )
