Yes, mutual support is going to be a theme for them. And it was such a weird excuse for him to discredit his own win. Rachel did a number from Les Mis in the very first episode. She knows it as well as he does, so they were as equal ground as they could be (despite scoring the song in LM's key instead of CC's). Kurt just needs to be reminded gently and consistently that he IS good.
And I would LOVE to see Kurt helping with the Apples. (Kinda disappointed we haven't had time for any interaction, Apples meeting and talking to Kurt, etc.)
(I think the NYADA losers should love him even more after that. He can out-snark them, after all, as well as out-sing them.)
I've read a lot of the comments in another comm about this episode, so none of this is spoiling me, just enticing me more! I love the idea of Kadam being mutually supportive. Kurt has a lot to offer the Apples in addition to his fantastic voice and charisma. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience about being in a show choir composed of the school underdogs, and yet they managed to win Nationals. Maybe he can be a mentor of sorts to them, and they can be friends to him, and they can all encourage each other. Popular or not, that has nothing to do with their level of talent
( ... )
I'm pretty sure he joined in the episode we met Adam. He told him "I'm in" and then in Diva I think someone mentioned in passing he was a member of the Apples?
Yes, he said he was in afte Adam proposed the epic mash-up where they'd all die trying to sing it. Disappointing we didn't get to see his first interactions with the Apples.
Yes, that's right. I saw the episode just this evening, and it's one of Rachel's admirers who points out that Kurt hasn't made anything any better for himself by signing up for the Apples.
