“Hey, Mom. Where’s Dad?” It was November now, and the weather turned extremely chilly, making Woohyun shiver slightly to see his mother in shorts and a t-shirt on the projector screen.

“He’s getting the jeep ready.”

“Where are you guys now?” Woohyun asked, sitting down on the couch. His parents had been gone almost the entire year now.

“In Australia! We’re about to take a tour through the outback.” His mom moved the camera so Woohyun could see out behind her.

“Doesn’t that look amazing?”

“Yeah, it looks pretty amazing, Mom.” His dad sidled into the camera and waved a few times, making Woohyun smile and wave back.

“You’ll be glad to know we only have a few more stops after Australia, and then we’ll be home. I miss you so much.” His mom made a sad face at the camera and pretended to kiss it. Woohyun laughed.

“Are you sure? I think you’re enjoying not having me around more than you miss me.”

“Oh don’t be silly, honey. Of course we miss you. Right?” she called out to his dad.

“Yeah, miss you tons!” he heard his dad yell back.

“Oh, the tour is about to start. Be good, don’t cause too much trouble! I love you!”

“Love you too,” Woohyun said as the screen went blue again. He stared at it for a moment before sighing. It looked like he was going to be spending the holidays alone.

‘No, not alone,’ his mind told him, flashing images of Sunggyu’s smiling face at him. Woohyun grinned to himself and pushed himself up off of the couch, looking for his keys.

--

When Woohyun opened the door to Sunggyu’s house, he could hear him talking from his room, meaning that he was about to start recording a video or finishing up a recording. Sunggyu had given him an extra key to the house so he could come and go whenever he pleased.

“... and thanks for listening! I swear my lisp isn’t that bad most of the time.” Woohyun peeked his head in and saw him in the background of the camera and nodded his head as if to say it was really that bad as Sunggyu stopped recording.

“What song did you do?”

“Oh my god!” Sunggyu jerked in his seat and hit the bottom of his guitar into his desk.

“Woohyun! Good grief, don’t sneak up on me like that!” Woohyun laughed before stepping in and planting a kiss on Sunggyu’s forehead.

“My bad.” Woohyun started to massage Sunggyu’s shoulders as he leaned over to look at the screen, looking for the name of the song.

“Here. I’ll just play it again for you.” Woohyun smiled as he recognized the song. He sang along with Sunggyu until the song was over.

“Promise me we’ll spend a Sunday morning like that one day,” Woohyun said, leaning over and wrapping his arms loosely over Sunggyu.

“Someday. Definitely someday. That reminds me. My mom wants to know if you’re doing anything for Thanksgiving. She refuses to let you spend it by yourself.” Woohyun pursed his lips. In the past, he and his family would travel over to either Dongwoo or Hoya’s place for Thanksgiving. The three families would rotate hosting dinner every year.

They always had to invite stuffy business people, and many of them had daughters that they tried to marry off to the three boys, despite their sexual orientation. Woohyun found those girls to be fake and pretentious, knowing only money and getting their way.

But since his parents weren’t here this year, he could finally spend Thanksgiving with people he cared about. Sungyeol didn’t count.

“No. I was planning to spend it here anyway. Dongwoo and Hoya are going to be jealous to bits when they find out I don’t have to go to Thanksgiving dinner with them.” Despite the boys’ attempts to make it clear that they are not interested in the girls, it didn’t stop them from thinking that they could make them go straight for them.

“Oh, okay. I’ll let her know then. Sungyeol is spending Thanksgiving over at Myungsoo’s.” Woohyun sighed. He didn’t understand those two at all. One second they were lovey dovey, and the next, they were at each other’s throats, almost ready to kill each other.

“Wait. So... It’ll just be the three of us? You, me, and your mom?”

“Mmhmm... Come over early so you can help with the cooking. I’m not any use in the kitchen for anything except cutting stuff up and peeling things.”

--

When Woohyun showed up in the morning on Thanksgiving Day, Sunggyu’s mom was already in the kitchen cooking. Sunggyu was still asleep in his room.

“Jeeze, he tells me to come over early, and he’s not even up yet.”

“That’s Sunggyu for you,” his mom said from the kitchen.

“Well, I am here to help at least. Just tell me what to do.”

--

Sunggyu wandered out of his room with bed head and sleepy eyes sometime around noon. By now, Woohyun and Sunggyu’s mom had finished most of the side dishes and were starting work on the main course.

“Good morning,” he said from the couch, blinking until his eyes were open all the way, which truthfully didn’t make much of a difference.

“More like good afternoon. I’ve been slaving away all morning in the kitchen after you told me to come early. I thought you’d be up and helping your mom.” Sunggyu smiled as he noticed that Woohyun and his mom were wearing matching aprons.

“Nice apron.” Woohyun glanced down before curtsying.

“Why thank you.”

“You make a great huswife.” Woohyun opened his mouth to say something as he pointed his ladle at Sunggyu, but something on the stove caught his eye.

“Oh my god, the gravy!” Sunggyu laughed from the couch.

--

After cleaning himself up, Sunggyu spent the rest of the day in the kitchen cutting, peeling, and opening up jars. Sometimes his pride would hurt a little bit after he couldn’t get something open, and Woohyun had to do it instead.

By the time they were done, the kitchen table was groaning under the weight of all the food.

“Whew. I think that’s the earliest I’ve ever finished Thanksgiving dinner. You’re amazing, Woohyun,” Sunggyu’s mom said as she reached over to grab his cheek.

“You’re welcome,” Woohyun said as soon as she let go of his cheek, bringing his hand up to rub the red spot forming. Sunggyu stood behind him, placing his hands on Woohyun’s shoulder, unconsciously massaging them as he looked over the food.

“This looks amazing.” Woohyun let his head fall back against Sunggyu’s stomach.

“It better. We slaved over this all day.”

“Then let’s eat!”

--

After dinner, Sunggyu’s mom turned in early after helping the boys put up the leftovers. Sunggyu and Woohyun retreated to the couch to watch some TV together. Sunggyu was laying on the couch with his bad leg hanging off, and Woohyun was on top of him, head comfortable on Sunggyu’s chest.

Sunggyu’s hand was absentmindedly playing with Woohyun’s hair as they both stared at the TV. His other hand was tangled with Woohyun’s hand.

“I think that this is the best Thanksgiving, ever.” Woohyun pulled Sunggyu’s hand up to kiss the back of it.

“I’m glad. This was a pretty good Thanksgiving for me too.” Woohyun shifted on top of Sunggyu so he could face him with a slight pout on his face.

“Only pretty good?” Sunggyu just gave him a mysterious smile and shrugged. Woohyun pushed himself up so he was hovering over Sunggyu and brought his face an inch away.

“Really? Why?” A smirk tugged at Woohyun’s lips as Sunggyu’s eyes turned away from his. And though the lights were dim, Woohyun could tell that his ears were turning red.

“I haven’t gotten to kiss you all day,” he said quietly. Woohyun couldn’t stop the smile on his face as he let his head drop slightly so their cheeks were touching, making a small noise of disbelief. Sunggyu was coming onto him? That food must’ve been good.

“Well, why don’t you fix that?” Woohyun asked, lifting his head slightly so he could make eye contact with Sunggyu. Sunggyu wrapped his arms loosely around Woohyun’s waist before closing his eyes and leaning up slightly to capture his lips in a slow kiss.

Woohyun lowered his head slightly so Sunggyu wouldn’t have to strain to kiss him. His mind went blissfully blank as their lips moved together. Neither of them were in a hurry until Woohyun shifted above Sunggyu, making him break the kiss to moan slightly.

Woohyun didn’t miss a beat and started to kiss down Sunggyu’s jaw, stopping at his neck. The noises Sunggyu was making were sending bolts of lightning through his body as he licked and nipped at the sensitive skin.

“Oh my god, Sunggyu,” Woohyun groaned as Sunggyu’s grip on his waist tightened as he ground their hips together. Sunggyu gasped again as Woohyun bit down a little bit harder near the base of his neck. It would probably leave a mark, but neither of them cared.

Neither of them heard voices until the front door slammed open, snapping the two of them out of their daze. Woohyun’s head snapped up as Sunggyu turned his body to look.

“... He didn’t mean it like that. Sungyeol, listen to me! You’ve been ignoring me the entire walk back. Would you just listen?!” Sungyeol ignored Myungsoo’s pleas and headed up the stairs almost four at a time before slamming his bedroom door closed.

“Shit.” Myungsoo sighed as he ran his hand through his hair. He didn’t even have time to grab a jacket when he chased after Sungyeol.

Woohyun let his head fall onto Sunggyu’s chest before sighing and rolling off of him. The two of them sat up on the couch and cleared their throats, catching Myungsoo’s attention.

“Oh. How long have you two been there?”

“Long enough,” Woohyun said as his eyes traveled upstairs.

“What happened?” Sunggyu asked, casting a concerned look towards Myungsoo. Myungsoo sighed again.

“When he calms down, tell him to call me, okay? I’ll explain later...” Myungsoo turned around and left, slamming the door closed behind him.

Both Sunggyu and Woohyun sighed. Woohyun leaned forward to examine Sunggyu’s neck and couldn’t help but smirk.

“Sorry. I got a little too excited and left a mark.”

“Seriously?” Sunggyu felt around his neck for a bit before letting his hand fall into his lap and slumping against the back of the couch.

“I should probably go talk to him.”

“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Woohyun asked. Sunggyu glanced up the stairs, listening to the thumping noises that were coming from Sungyeol’s room.

“Yeah, you’re right. Maybe later...”

“In the meantime,” Woohyun grabbed Sunggyu hand and pulled him up from the couch, “we can finish what we were doing in your room,” he said with a devious smile on his face.

--

Myungsoo sighed as he walked back in the cold, alone. Sungyeol was so completely unreasonable at times.

Sungyeol stayed after dinner to help Myungsoo take care of his cousins. He looked completely surprised by the number of small children running around the house as Myungsoo pulled breakable objects out of their way.

“Good grief, Myungsoo. Are you running a day care? There’s like, forty kids here!”

“There are ten, at most. Don’t exaggerate.” Sungyeol opened up his legs as two kids chasing each other ran through them.

“There may as well be forty. You’re supposed to look after them all day?”

“And you’re going to help me.”

The kids fell asleep early in the evening, leaving a beaten and battered Myungsoo and Sungyeol to go and relax out in the front yard. It was chilly, so Myungsoo grabbed a blanket for the two of them to snuggle under as they sat on the porch swing.

“Is this what it’s going to be like when we get older? I don’t want ten kids,” Sungyeol said as Myungsoo leaned his head on his shoulder.

“I don’t want ten kids either. Maybe we’ll just get a dog.” The two of them laughed before falling into silence. The only sound was the creaking of the swing as it moved back and forth.

Another car pulled up in front of Myungsoo’s house, making him frown. All of the family was there, so who else could possibly be coming? The car door opened, revealing the last person he expected to see that day.

“Myungsoo!” Sungyeol just assumed it was one of Myungsoo’s cousins. She hurried through the yard and threw her arms around Myungsoo’s neck.

“Sungjong. What are you doing here?” Myungsoo asked, still completely shocked. Sungyeol perked up. Sungjong? But Sungjong was a boy.

“Your family invited us over for Thanksgiving! I missed you so much!” Myungsoo tried to pry Sungjong off of him, giving Sungyeol an apologetic look.

“Sungjong, let go so I can introduce you to someone.” Sungjong eventually let go, giving Sungyeol a curious look.

“Sungyeol, this is Sungjong. Sungjong, this is Sungyeol, my friend.” Sungjong blinked a few times.

“Just a friend? Or a boyfriend?” Sungjong looked angry at Myungsoo. Sungyeol looked back and forth between Myungsoo and Sungjong.

“Uh... Am I missing something here?” Sungyeol asked. Sungjong frowned at him before throwing his arms around Myungsoo’s neck and kissing him. Myungsoo’s eyes widened as he tried to push Sungjong away.

“We’re in love. There’s no place for you here.” Sungyeol stared, completely dumbstruck at the pair.

“No, Sungyeol. I-” Sungyeol got up abruptly from the porch swing and headed for the gate.

“Sungyeol! God damn it, Sungjong! You know we’re not like that anymore!” Myungsoo said as he chased after Sungyeol. Sungjong just stood on the porch, watching him chase after Sungyeol before heading inside.

“Sungyeol, stop! Listen to me! Sungyeol. Don’t ignore me,” Myungsoo said as he chased after him.

Sungyeol didn’t answer, and he didn’t look back until Myungsoo finally caught up to him at the front door of his house. Myungsoo grabbed his arm, making Sungyeol whip around.

“Just don’t.” Sungyeol yanked his arm out of Myungsoo grip and stormed inside.

--

Myungsoo sighed as his legs carried him all the way back to his house. He had no reason to go inside. Everything he wanted was angry at him in a house thirty minutes away. He sneezed once, sniffing. He could tell he was going to get sick, and it didn’t do anything to better his mood.
